Instead, he went to Columbia College in Chicago and declared a major in Poetry half-way through his freshman year. When his father left, Jack's mother noticed he had quite the anger issue, so she bought the young boy a violin to get out his frustrations. Jack became obsessed with the instrument and he was very talented when playing it. Playing the instrument became scarce for Jack throughout high school since he didn't want to look like some kind of dork in front of his friends, but he would always still play for his mother. Two days after Jack graduated his mother was stabbed and killed, crushing Jack completely. He was devastated by the loss and had to more to Revere, Ma to live with his aunt since he was not a legal adult yet. Right when he turned 18, he moved out of his aunt's and got a job at Pitcarin florist as a delivery boy, and he remains at that job today. Jack is very cynical and pessimistic about almost everything in life. The only things he really enjoys are drinking, smoking, and the company of numerous amount of women. For right now he is content with being a jackass, but he really just needs someone to show him he can be better.

As a child, she was quiet, studious, and even a bit withdrawn. She shied away from strangers, unless she felt that her brothers were threatened in any way, and hid whenever company came over. As she grew a bit older, she grew out of that silly habit, but she never shed her quietness and her sense of respectful distance from people. Thus began his calling as a doctor. He moved to Europe to continue his studies and met his wife, Jumoke Matumona. They bought a house in London, and welcomed three kids, Madelyn, Adam, and Ava. Then things took a turn for the worst when Jumoke died in a car accident. Logan dropped everything and moved back to the states, to Revere, MA to figure a new life out. Once his kids were situated, he began a new practice in Naturopathy. Then he was fortunate to get a nanny and helpful friend, Dru MacKenzie. Life is starting to work out again.

The Kleins mostly lived in comfort; they were the first on their street with colour television, they took holidays abroad, they had a new car every few years and their children wore expensive clothes. Liz followed in her father's footsteps to become a doctor, graduating with her doctorate degree in 1982. Liz met Allan at university and fell pregnant when she was 25, giving birth to her son in 1978 - much to her parent's disdain. Allan and Liz were married the week Liz graduated, in 1982, and it wasn't long before a second son joined their budding family. They brought a family home in Revere, where Liz converted one of the rooms to a consultation room. She saw patients during the day while Allan, an author, took care of the children, and Allan wrote in the evenings while Liz cooked and took over diaper duty. Liz went on to have two more children, daughters, in 1985 and 1991. The harmony in the Ricketts household changed after Liz and Allan's divorce in 1992, when her youngest daughter hadn't even turned a year old, and then Liz contracted breast cancer over the Christmas of 2001. She's basically been living off of her ex-fiance's money, but she's just started a new job in December/2009, to work alongside Chris Fabray, because Jamie wants to have her own money to fall back on in case she and Hale have one of their epic and infamous falling-outs.
